The Z Mansion (short for the Zellweger Mansion) was built beginning in 1898 as Tucson’s most impressive and elegant private home. Now, as the mansion enters its third century, it still is.

Because the Z Mansion is a private home, the mansion is available for public events on a limited basis. This limited availability combined with the extraordinary popularity of the Z can frequently make finding an available date quite challenging.

But take heart. We will do everything we can to find the perfect date for your perfect wedding.

Why Are Our Prices So Low?

This is the one question we are asked most often and the answer is quite simple: The Hill family, the owners of the Z, purposely made them that way. They want everyone to be able to enjoy the beauty and elegance of their home.

In addition, a very affordable monthly payment plan can be arranged to help those on a budget.

In short, Tucson’s most elegant and romantic event location is also one of the most affordable. Now ... the only problem is finding that date!

What About Those Pesky Extra Charges?

Frankly, we just don't have them. The Hill Family wants everyone to enjoy the mansion without the usual stress added by things like "Cake cutting fees", "Bottle uncorking fees," "Electrical usage fees," etc., etc., etc.

In fact, all of our pricing also includes all taxes and gratuities. That's right, all of the prices below are the actual complete prices. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everything in life were this simple (and affordable)?

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve my date?
-- Once we receive your first payment, your date will be held.

What is the Z Mansion first payment and is it refundable?
-- The initial payment to rent the Mansion is only $900. The balance can then be paid using affordable monthly payments. Remember, you must get married — none of these payments is refundable. And yes, we happily accept checks and all major credit cards.

Is there an additional charge if I want both my ceremony and reception at the Z?
-- No, there is no additional charge to do both wedding and reception. In fact, we encourage you to use the Mansion for both.

What is the Security Deposit?
-- There is none. However, you are responsible for any damage to the Mansion and its grounds. You are also liable for any injury or damage incurred by your guests.

What about alcohol?
-- You are invited to bring your own alcohol provided it is served by one of our two recommended licensed and insured bartending services. Depending upon your number of guests, this can save you literally thousands of dollars off the traditional cost of alcohol.

What about parking?
-- There are hundreds of public parking spaces available surrounding the Mansion and almost all of them are empty at night and on weekends.

And, finally, what about that Hill family?
-- Please be gently advised that you may well be requested to have tea or to dine with the Hills at least once and to answer a myriad of questions proffered by the inquisitive Hill children (aka Hilldren). After all, you’re now part of the family!
